NEEDLE & GAUGE NETTING
During this one day course students will learn how to create rectangular diamond netting using the needle and gauge technique as well as how to produce the tools required.
Knowing how to make netting is an incredibly useful skill that has many practical applications and possibilities for crafts within bushcraft and survival. This course is ideal for anyone interested in not only learning how to make netting but also for those who wish to improve their fine carving skills as well as fine tuning quality of crafts.
During the course students should expect to cover the following:
Applications for netting in both coastal and inland environments
Understanding the features and correct proportions of the needle and gauge
Carving various sizes of Needle and Gauge for different purposes
Rectangular diamond netting technique using needle and gauge
Courses run with a maximum of 8 people to ensure sufficient attention and guidance is given to individuals when needed.
